A school bus driver recently penned a heartfelt letter to the parents of two of her passengers, Jorge and Annaliese, commending them for having done such an outstanding job raising the kids.

“I am compelled to write to you how beautiful your children are, inside and out!” the bus driver, Cindy Clausen, wrote. “This can only come from the home, your patience and guidance, the examples that you set and teach.”

What was it that Jorge and Annaliese had done to earn their parents such praise? Clausen explained that they had shown a physically disabled boy named Jackson “much compassion and support,” despite the trouble he faced walking.

“Every day your children ask if they can sit with Jackson,” she continued. “Some days Jackson is a little sad getting on the bus but as soon as he sees Annaliese and Jorge he smiles.”

And rather than pick on Jackson for his physical disability, which some troubled teens might have been tempted to do, the pair of good citizens showed him much love and encouragement.

“Today Annaliese looked out from around her seat and said, ‘Come on, Jackson, you can do it,’ and when we arrived at school Jorge took it upon himself to carry out his backpack!” Clausen wrote. “I know you know how wonderful your children are, but I wanted you to know that it shows!”

The page that shared the letter, “Love What Matters,” added this caption to it: “There is hope for America.”
There is indeed great hope for America, as long as its younger and older denizens alike invariably choose the path of love, kindness and respect over the one of hatred and intolerance.
